User Guide -- Adding Listings
Adding listings
Currently P2PBAZAAR allows three types of listings, a fixed-price listing,
an auction listing and an "other" listing. A fixed-price listing
is one that can be purchased immediately for a fixed price. An auction
listing is one that can be posted for a given number of days while accepting
competitive bids in order to get the best price. An "other"
listing would be used if someone wanted to post a classified add type,
a wanted add type or anything that does not have a specific price attached
to it. The available listing types may vary for the different categories.
For example, a fixed price or auction listing would not make sense for
the "personals" category.
In the P2PBAZAAR GUI under the "Listings" tab:
- Enter the title of the listing you wish to sell. Please note that
the title of your listing is what other members of the community are
searching. Please be as descriptive as possible while remaining within
the 100 character limit. For example, if you are listing a television
set, you may want to title it this way, "Sony 27 inch television
set black".
- Choose the listing type. By default, it is a fixed-price listing.
If you choose auction listing, you will also need to enter the duration
of days you would like your auction to run (3, 7 or 10) and a reserve
price, if any. Choose a listing type of "other" for anything
that you want to list without a price, for instance a personal or wanted
add. The venue running the community you are in will decide what categories
can accomodate what listing types.
- Enter a complete description of the listing including any additional
charges such as shipping and handling. Also include locations available
to ship to (USA, Canada, etc.). If you want potential buyers to be able
to contact you for more information about your listing, include your
e-mail address in the description as well.
- Choose the category that your listing falls into. If you need a
category listed that is not currently there, please e-mail your suggestion
to feedback@p2pbazaar.com .
- Enter a numeral (no commas or dollar signs) for the price of the
listing if it is a fixed-price item, or a starting bid if it is an auction
listing.
- Enter a unique item ID for this item. You can have listings with
the same item ID's but they cannot be in the same categories.
- If you have an image associated with your listing, click the "Load
Item Image" tab and select the appropriate image file.
- Once you are satisfied with your listing click the "Submit"
button and your item is now searchable by other users in the P2PBAZAAR
community.
