Installation Overview
The P2PBAZAAR software utilizes Java technology for cross-platform support and performance. This means that you will need to download and install Java from the Sun Microsystems website in order to run our software.

Installation Instructions:

Read our "Terms of Use". Continue to download only if you agree to these terms.

Click here to download and install the Java version necessary for this software (1.3.1_xx). If you already have a newer Java version installed you can use that but there are some bugs with our sofware introduced with these newer versions. We will upgrade soon.

WINDOWS, UNIX or MAC (Best way!): Click here for the p2pbazaar.zip file, download and unzip anywhere on machine. You're ready to go! This is the easiest way to successfully download the p2pbazaar.jar file without worrying about renaming due to browser differences.

Read the "Users Guide" to set-up and run P2PBazaar. If you have problems downloading any of the links above, just right click and "Save Link As..."

Other Options:

UNZIPPED JAR FILE: Click here to download the p2pbazaar.jar file (make sure name is preserved after download!) or here for the zipped version (this option is provided because some browsers have problems downloading raw jar files). You will need to unzip the zipped file into "p2pbazaar.jar" before running.

SHARP ZAURUS SL 5500 USERS: Download the IPK file and follow the installation notes that came with your PDA. There is no need to install any java version on your zaurus, it comes preloaded with the Jeode Java Virtual Machine. NOTE: This is a fully function version of P2PBazaar but is still a work in progress. Please give us your feedback so we can refine the software and offer you a better product. Thanks.

COMPAQ IPAQ USERS (and other WinCE PDAs): Download the p2pbazaar_win_ce.zip file and unzip into three files (P2PBazaar.lnk, p2pbazaar_pda.jar, swingall.jar). The Jeode Java Virtual Machine must be installed on your PDA. Place the "P2PBazaar.lnk" file in the directory "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs". The other two files, "p2pbazaar_pda.jar" and "swingall.jar", should be placed in the directory "\Windows\lib". "ActiveSync" is an easy way to do this. Now you should be able to start P2PBazaar by hitting the P2PBazaar link in the Programs section of your start menu. Other PDA's running a Java Virtual Machine can run the P2Pbazaar application by simply using the Virtual Machine's command line option and including the two jar files "p2pbazaar_pda.jar" and "swingall.jar" in your classpath parameter. To see an example of how to run this from your comand line, please take a look at the file "P2PBazaar.lnk" included in the zip.
